Our Mission
Cedar Tree Music and Performance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to high-quality music education for underserved and neurodiverse youth. Through comprehensive training, workshops, and performance opportunities, we equip students ages 8–17 with the skills, discipline, and confidence to thrive as musicians and individuals.
Executive Profiles
Cheryl Carter has traveled and performed extensively as a world dancer with an emphasis on folk dance. As a mother of twins boys, both on the autism spectrum , she has witnessed the social and emotional benefits from their involvement in music. It was not until after Cheryl's son was asked to travel and perform throughout Spain that she realized the urgency and need for all children to have a sound foundation in, and accessibility to the arts; particularly, music.
